Rita Hillmann Olson Wins GOP Endorsement in
House District 58A

LONSDALE, Minn. - Rita Hillmann Olson, candidate for House District 58A, secured the local Republican Party endorsement on Thursday evening. Hillmann Olson is running against first-term Democrat Rep. Kristi Pursell. The district covers Northfield, Dundas, Lonsdale, Webster, and part of New Prague. Rita and her husband, Kevin, have lived in the district for almost three decades on their farm between New Prague and Lonsdale.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of our grassroots and I am committed to better serving the residents of Minnesota House District 58A in St. Paul. I love this district and this state—I’ve raised my three children, started businesses, and been active in this community for 29 years now. But, like many of us, I have concerns about our state’s direction and the current representation of our district."

"In less than two years, the Democrat trifecta has spent the surplus, increased taxes by $10 billion, and put our state on the path to a deficit. Their rushed legislation, poorly crafted laws, and burdensome mandates undermine family relationships, come between teachers and students, and prevent small businesses from thriving. Our district has not been well-served. We can do better. We need to restore balance in St. Paul so that we are all represented.

"As your representative, I will pursue policies that make life more affordable, roll back the stifling mandates on businesses, get spending under control, protect the rights of parents, and ensure our students are receiving a top-tier education. Above all, I will listen to your concerns and ideas, ask questions, gather facts, and seek solutions that lift everyone."
